How Did Tangletown Get Its Name?

The name "Tangletown" comes from a long time ago, in the 1800s. Back then, this area was mostly wild and undeveloped. Hunters would often get lost there. The land had thick plants, many similar rock formations, and hills that looked alike. This made it easy for people to get "tangled up" or confused and lose their way in the landscape. That's how the name Tangletown came to be!
