The Story of Tapal Tea
Tapal Tea started in November 1947. Adam Ali Tapal opened it as a small shop in Jodia Bazaar. At first, they brought in tea from Sri Lanka (which was called Ceylon back then).
In 1975, Aftab Tapal joined the family business. He made the tea packaging better. This helped Tapal compete with bigger companies from other countries. He also started bringing in tea from Kenya. Tapal began selling different types of tea. They had granular tea for people in cities and cheaper tea dust for people in villages.
In 2004, Tapal started selling tea in Saudi Arabia. Today, Tapal sends its tea to 20 different countries around the world.
