Taras Kutovy's Life and Work

Becoming a Politician
Taras Kutovy became a People's Deputy of Ukraine. This means he was elected by people to represent them in the Ukrainian parliament. The parliament is called the Verkhovna Rada. He served in this role for two terms, starting in 2012. He worked to make laws and help his country.
Minister of Agriculture
In 2016, Taras Kutovy got a very important job. He became the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. This job meant he was in charge of things like farming and making sure people had enough food. He worked in the government led by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.
He worked hard in this role. In 2017, he decided he wanted to leave the position. He asked the lawmakers to accept his decision. His resignation was approved by the parliament in 2018.
Later Life
After leaving his minister role, Taras Kutovy continued his work. Sadly, he passed away on October 21, 2019. He was 43 years old. He died in a helicopter crash in Poltava Oblast, Ukraine.
