Taughmonagh is a small housing estate in south west Belfast, Northern Ireland. Its name comes from the Irish words Tuath Monach, meaning "tribe of Monaigh".
When Taughmonagh was first built, the houses were simple, small, and made of aluminum. People even called the area "Tin Town" because of this. Over time, the area was rebuilt, and now there are about 600 houses. Many people who live there have bought their homes, so more houses are now privately owned.
