Taylor McFerrin was born on June 28, 1981, in San Francisco, California. He is an American DJ, music producer, and keyboard player. He is also a talented beatboxer. Taylor lives in Brooklyn, New York City.
Taylor is the oldest son of the famous singer and conductor Bobby McFerrin. His father is known for his amazing vocal skills.
Taylor's Music Journey
Taylor McFerrin released his first album, Early Riser, in 2014. It came out on Brainfeeder Records, a record label started by Flying Lotus. This album featured many talented musicians. Some of them were Nai Palm from Hiatus Kaiyote, Thundercat, and Robert Glasper. His father, Bobby McFerrin, also appeared on the album.
Taylor is also part of a cool music group called "R+R=Now." This group is a supergroup, which means it's made up of several well-known musicians. The group was formed by Robert Glasper. Other members include Christian Scott, Terrace Martin, and Derrick Hodge. They play a style of music called jazz fusion, which mixes jazz with other music styles. In 2018, R+R=Now released their album, Collagically Speaking.
