Taylor McFerrin is an American musician born on June 28, 1981. He is a talented DJ, music producer, and keyboard player. Taylor is also a skilled beatboxer, which means he makes drum sounds and rhythms using only his mouth. He lives in Brooklyn, New York City.
Taylor is the oldest son of the famous singer and conductor Bobby McFerrin. His father is known for his amazing vocal skills.
In 2014, Taylor McFerrin released his first album, Early Riser. It came out on Brainfeeder Records, a music label started by Flying Lotus. Many cool artists helped with the album. These included Nai Palm from Hiatus Kaiyote, Thundercat, Robert Glasper, Cesar Mariano, Marcus Gilmore, and even his father, Bobby McFerrin.
Taylor is also part of a jazz fusion supergroup called "R+R=Now." This group was formed by Robert Glasper. Other members include Christian Scott, Terrace Martin, Derrick Hodge, and Justin Tyson. The group released their album, Collagically Speaking, in June 2018.
