Teamwork is a public sculpture located at American Family Field (formerly Miller Park) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This artwork is made of bronze. It was created by the artist Omri Amrany in 2001.
The sculpture honors three members of the Iron Workers Local 8 who sadly lost their lives. These workers were involved in building the new baseball stadium. A special foundation, the Habush, Habush and Rottier Charitable Foundation, paid for the sculpture.
What the Sculpture Looks Like
The Teamwork sculpture shows three ironworkers from Milwaukee's Local Union 8. They are dressed in their typical construction clothes. You can see them wearing jeans, t-shirts, work boots, and hardhats. One of the workers is holding a clipboard.
Why This Sculpture Was Made
This important sculpture remembers William DeGrave, Jerome Starr, and Jeffrey Wischer. They were ironworkers who died in an accident during the construction of Miller Park. A large crane had a problem, and a piece of the stadium's retractable roof fell. The sculpture helps us remember their hard work and sacrifice.
