Teatro Odeón facts for kids
The Odeon Theater (called Teatro Odeón in Spanish) was a famous theater in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was built by Emilio Bieckert in the late 1800s. A very important event happened there in July 1896: it was the place where the very first film was shown in Argentina!
Sadly, the theater was taken down in 1991. This was done to make room for a new parking lot. Today, a tall building called the Odeon Tower is being built on the same spot. A new theater is also being built next to the tower to replace the old one.
