Teba is a town and a municipality located in the province of Málaga. This area is part of the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain. Teba is found in the northeast part of the province, within the Guadalteba area. In 2018, about 3,818 people lived there.
Teba is famous for the Battle of Teba, which happened in 1330. This battle was a key event during the Reconquista, a long period when Christian kingdoms took back land from Muslim rule in Spain. A brave Scottish knight, Sir James Douglas, sadly died in Teba during this important campaign.
