How Teeds Grove Got Its Name
Teeds Grove was named after the very first person who settled in the area. This area is part of Elk River Township. The name used to be "Teed's Grove," with an apostrophe, but it was later changed to "Teeds Grove."
The Post Office Story
The post office in Teeds Grove has an interesting past.
- It first opened on January 6, 1873.
- On June 21, 1883, its name was changed to just "Teeds."
- Then, on July 8, 1904, the name went back to "Teeds Grove."
- Finally, on July 2, 1965, the post office closed down. Its mail services were then handled by the post office in Clinton.
