Tellis Joseph Frank Jr. (born April 26, 1965) is an American former professional basketball player. He also worked as an assistant coach for the Atlanta Dream in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Tellis was a power forward, standing 6 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 225 pounds.

Early Basketball Days
Tellis Frank graduated from Lew Wallace High School in Gary, Indiana, in 1983. After high school, he played college basketball for Western Kentucky from 1983 to 1987.
College Success
At Western Kentucky, Tellis was a very important player. He helped his team win their first Sun Belt Conference basketball championship. His team also reached a top ten national ranking and finished second in the pre-season NIT tournament. He led them to play in the NCAA tournament two years in a row. In 1987, he was named the Sun Belt Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year.
Professional Basketball Career
Playing in the NBA
Tellis Frank was chosen by the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the 1987 NBA draft. He was the 14th player picked overall. He played for the Warriors from 1987 to 1989. After that, he joined the Miami Heat for the 1989–1990 season. He also played for the Minnesota Timberwolves from 1991 to 1992 and again from 1993 to 1994. During his five years in the NBA, he scored an average of 6.5 points per game.
Playing Overseas
After his time in the NBA, Tellis Frank played basketball in other countries. He played in Italy for a team called Phonola Caserta from 1990 to 1993. His team even won the Italian league championship in 1991. He also played for other Italian teams like Scandone Avellino, Basket Livorno, and Longobardi Scafati. Tellis also played in Spain's top league, the Liga ACB, for three different teams.
Coaching Career
After his playing career, Tellis Frank became an assistant coach. In 2015, he was an assistant coach for the Atlanta Dream, a team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).
