Temiloluwa O. Prioleau is a smart computer scientist from Nigeria. She is an assistant professor of computer science at Dartmouth College. In January 2019, she made history. She became the first Black woman to be a full-time computer science professor at an Ivy League school. Ivy League schools are famous, old universities.

Her work focuses on using data science to understand people's health. Data science uses computers to find patterns in large amounts of information. She is known for using information from 'wearable devices.' These are like smartwatches that help people with diabetes manage their health.

Her Journey in Science

Temiloluwa's dad was an electrical engineer. She grew up in Lagos, Nigeria. She went to primary school and then a boarding school there. When she was in 11th grade, she moved to the United States. She finished high school in Texas.

In 2010, she earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Later, she got her Masters and PhD degrees from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2016.

After her studies, Prioleau worked at Rice University. Then, in January 2019, she became a professor at Dartmouth College. She started a special lab there called the Augmented Health Lab. She also helps lead a group called The Center for Technology and Behavioral Health (CTBH).
