Terence Morris, born on January 11, 1979, is an American who used to play professional basketball. He was known for his great defense, winning the 'Defensive Player of the Year' award in Israel twice (in 2007 and 2008). He was also chosen for the 'All-EuroLeague First Team' in 2008, which means he was one of the best players in Europe that year.

High School Basketball

Terence Morris played high school basketball at Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick, Maryland. In 1997, during his senior year, he helped his team, the TJ Patriots, win the Maryland Class 3A state championship. His coach, Tom Dickman, was a very successful coach.

College Basketball

Terence Morris was a tall forward at about 6 feet 9 inches. He played for the University of Maryland, College Park. After his second year (1998–99), many people thought he was one of the best young players in college basketball. They believed he could have been one of the top 5 players picked in the 1999 NBA draft.

However, Morris decided to stay at Maryland for his junior and senior years. Even though he helped Maryland reach the Final Four in the 2001 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament for the first time in the school's history, his chances of being picked early in the NBA draft went down.

Professional Career

NBA Teams
