Tereza Mihalíková (born on June 2, 1998) is a talented tennis player from Slovakia. She is especially good at doubles, which is when two players team up against another pair. Her highest ranking in doubles was world No. 27, which she achieved on June 23, 2025.

Tereza has won two doubles titles on the main WTA Tour and three WTA Challenger doubles titles. She also has many wins from smaller tournaments, including eight singles titles and 19 doubles titles on the ITF Circuit.

Tereza was very successful when she was a junior player. She was once ranked No. 4 in the world for junior players. She won the Australian Open in both singles and doubles. In 2015, she won the girls' singles title. A year later, in 2016, she won the doubles title with her partner Anna Kalinskaya. She also reached the finals of three other junior Grand Slam doubles events.

Even though she played mostly in smaller singles tournaments, she started to shine in doubles in 2021. That year, she won her first big doubles title and entered the top 100 players in the world.

Early Career: Junior Tennis Star (2014-2016)

Tereza Mihalíková had a fantastic junior career. She played in all the major junior Grand Slam tournaments.

Junior Grand Slam Success

In singles, she won the Australian Open in 2015. She also reached the second round of the French Open and US Open in 2014. In 2015, she made it to the third round at Wimbledon.

In doubles, she won the Australian Open in 2016. She was a finalist at the US Open in 2014 and Wimbledon in 2015. She also reached the second round of the French Open in 2014.

In 2014, Tereza played in the final of the girls' doubles at the US Open with her partner Vera Lapko. She was also part of the Slovak Junior Fed Cup team for players under 16. In 2014, her team reached the final but lost to the United States team.

At the 2015 Australian Open, Tereza and Vera Lapko reached the quarterfinals in doubles. But Tereza won the singles competition, beating Katie Swan in the final. In 2016, she won the girls' doubles at the Australian Open with Anna Kalinskaya. She also reached the singles final that year, but lost to Vera Lapko.

Breaking Through in Doubles (2021)

In June 2021, Tereza reached her first WTA Challenger final at the Bol Ladies Open. She and her partner lost a close match. The next month, she reached another Challenger final at the Swedish Open, but again, they lost in three sets.

Tereza made it to her first main WTA Tour doubles final in September 2021. Playing with Anna Kalinskaya, they won the Zavarovalnica Sava Portorož tournament. This was a big win for her!

In December, she finally won a WTA Challenger title at the Open Angers with Greet Minnen. These great results helped her enter the top 100 doubles players for the first time.

Winning More Doubles Titles (2022)

In July 2022, Tereza won another doubles title at the WTA 125 Contrexeville tournament with Ulrikke Eikeri. They beat their opponents in the final.

In October, she teamed up with Aldila Sutjiadi to win the WTA 125 Abierto Tampico tournament. They played very well and won the final match.

Reaching Finals and Team Success (2024)

In 2024, Tereza reached two WTA 250 finals. She was a runner-up at the Transylvania Open with Harriet Dart. She also reached the final of the Rosmalen Open with Olivia Nicholls.

Playing with Olivia Nicholls, she reached the quarterfinals at both the China Open and the Wuhan Open.

In November, Tereza and her partner Viktória Hrunčáková had a huge win for Slovakia. They won a deciding doubles match against the USA team in the Billie Jean King Cup quarterfinals. This win helped Slovakia reach the semifinals. They then won again in the semifinals, beating Great Britain to reach the final for the first time since 2002.

First Big WTA 500 Win (2025)

With her partner Olivia Nicholls, Tereza reached her first WTA 1000 final at the 2025 BNP Paribas Open in March 2025. They had a surprising win over a top-ranked team to get there, but lost in the final.

In May, Tereza and Olivia were runners-up at the WTA 125 Trophée Clarins.

In June 2025, Tereza and Olivia Nicholls won their first WTA 500 title at the Berlin Tennis Open. They beat the top-seeded team in a very exciting final match.

Billie Jean King Cup

Tereza has proudly represented Slovakia in the Billie Jean King Cup, which is a major international team competition in women's tennis. She has played in several important matches for her country.

In 2024, she played a key role in helping Slovakia reach the final of the Billie Jean King Cup. She and her partner won crucial doubles matches against the United States and Great Britain, showing great teamwork and skill.
