Tereza Mihalíková is a talented tennis player from Slovakia, born on June 2, 1998. She is especially good at doubles, reaching a high rank of 41st in the world by the WTA (Women's Tennis Association) in October 2024.
Tereza has won one big doubles title on the WTA Tour, plus three WTA Challenger doubles titles. She also has many wins (eight in singles and 19 in doubles) on the ITF Circuit, which is another tennis tour.
When she was younger, Tereza was a super successful junior player. She was once ranked 4th in the world for juniors. She won the Australian Open in both singles and doubles. In 2015, she won the girls' singles title, beating Katie Swan in the final. A year later, she won the doubles title with her partner Anna Kalinskaya. They defeated Dayana Yastremska and Anastasia Zarycká. Tereza also reached the finals of three other junior Grand Slam doubles events: the US Open in 2014, and the Australian Open and Wimbledon in 2015.
Even though she still plays mostly in ITF singles tournaments, she made a big step forward in doubles. In 2021, she won her first major doubles title and entered the top 100 players in the world.

Tereza Mihalíková's Tennis Journey
Junior Success (2014–2016)
Tereza Mihalíková had an amazing junior career. She played in all the major junior Grand Slam tournaments.
Grand Slam Junior Results

In 2014, Tereza reached the final of the girls' doubles at the US Open with her partner Vera Lapko. She was also part of the Slovak Junior Fed Cup team for players under 16. In 2014, her team reached the final but lost to the United States team.
At the 2015 Australian Open, Tereza and Vera Lapko reached the quarterfinals in doubles. But Tereza won the singles competition, beating British player Katie Swan in the final. In 2016, at the Australian Open, Tereza won the girls' doubles event with Anna Kalinskaya. She also reached the singles final but lost to Vera Lapko.
Breaking Through in Doubles (2021)
In June 2021, Tereza Mihalíková reached her first WTA Challenger final at the Bol Ladies Open. She played with Ekaterine Gorgodze, but they lost the match. The next month, she reached another Challenger final at the Swedish Open with Kamilla Rakhimova, but they also lost.
Tereza finally reached her first WTA Tour doubles final in September at the Zavarovalnica Sava Portorož. Partnering with Anna Kalinskaya, they won the title!
In December, she won her first WTA Challenger title at the Open Angers with Greet Minnen. These great results helped her enter the top 100 doubles players in the world for the first time.
More Doubles Titles (2022)
In July 2022, Tereza Mihalíková won another doubles title at the WTA 125 Contrexeville with Ulrikke Eikeri. They beat Han Xinyun and Alexandra Panova in the final.
In October, she teamed up with Aldila Sutjiadi to win the WTA 125 Abierto Tampico. They defeated Ashlyn Krueger and Elizabeth Mandlik to claim the title.
Reaching WTA Finals (2024)
In 2024, Tereza Mihalíková was a runner-up in two WTA 250 finals. She played with Harriet Dart at the Transylvania Open and with Olivia Nicholls at the Rosmalen Open.
Playing with Olivia Nicholls, she also reached the quarterfinals at two big tournaments: the China Open and the Wuhan Open.
In November, Tereza and her partner Viktória Hrunčáková won an important doubles match against the USA team. This win helped Slovakia qualify for the quarterfinals of the Billie Jean King Cup. They then won again in the semifinals, beating the Great Britain team. This meant Slovakia reached the final for the first time since 2002!
