Hawatha Terrell Wade (born January 25, 1973) is an American who used to play professional baseball. He was a pitcher in Major League Baseball, which is the highest level of baseball in the United States.

Early Life and Baseball Start
Terrell Wade grew up in Rembert, South Carolina. He went to Hillcrest High School in Dalzell, South Carolina. There, he played on the school's basketball team. A famous basketball player, Ray Allen, was one of his teammates.
How Terrell Wade Began Playing Baseball
Interestingly, Terrell Wade only played baseball for one year in high school. He joined the team because someone dared him to! After finishing high school in 1991, he worked as a bricklayer. But in the summer of 1991, something exciting happened. Scouts from the Atlanta Braves baseball team saw him at a tryout. They were very impressed and offered him a contract to play baseball.
Major League Baseball Career
Terrell Wade played for the Atlanta Braves from 1995 to 1997. He then played for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 1998.
Winning a World Series Ring
In 1995, Terrell Wade was part of the Atlanta Braves team that won the World Series. This is a huge championship in baseball. He pitched in three games during that World Series, playing a total of four innings. This helped him earn a special World Series ring.
Terrell Wade's Best Season
His best year in Major League Baseball was 1996. That season, he pitched in 44 games. He had a great record of 5 wins and 0 losses. His earned run average (ERA) was 2.97, which is a very good score for a pitcher.
Moving to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays
After the 1997 season, Terrell Wade was chosen by a new team. This happened during the 1997 MLB Expansion Draft. On November 18, 1997, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays picked him as their 60th player. Later Career and Retirement
In 1998, Terrell Wade spent the whole year playing for the Durham Bulls. This team is a Triple-A team, which is a level below Major League Baseball. He had a record of 1 win and 7 losses with a 9.49 ERA in 34 games. The next year, the Cincinnati Reds signed him. However, he spent that entire season playing in the minor leagues.
Playing in Independent Leagues
Terrell Wade continued to play baseball in independent leagues from 2003 to 2004. These leagues are not connected to Major League Baseball teams. After 2004, he retired from playing professional baseball.
