Terri Crawford is a Canadian singer. She was known as Terry Crawford earlier in her career. She was nominated for a Juno Award twice. These awards are like Canada's biggest music awards. She was nominated for "Most Promising Female Vocalist." This happened in 1982 and 1983.

Early Life and Band Beginnings
Terri was born in Montreal, Quebec. When she was 12, her family moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba. In high school, she met Rick Johnson. He later became her husband and musical partner.
In 1971, they started a band. It was called the Terry Crawford Band. Terri sang, and Rick played guitar. They got married in 1975.
In 1979, Terri and Rick moved. They went to the Greater Toronto Area. They first lived in Oshawa. They were still the main members of the Terry Crawford Band. Other musicians in the band changed over time.

The Terry Crawford Band released their first album in 1980. It was called Terry Crawford Band. RCA Records released the album.
Solo Albums and Big Hits
In 1982, Terri released a solo album. It was called Good Girl Gone Bad. Even though she was a solo artist, her band members were the same.
Her next album was Virgin Heart in 1983. This album had a song called "One Time for Old Times." Gary O' wrote this song. It became Terri's biggest hit in Canada. Later, the band .38 Special had a hit with it in the United States.
Terri then moved to Attic Records. She released the album Total Loss of Control in 1986. This album included the songs "I'll Be Back" and "First Step."
Family and New Ventures
In 1988, Terri and Rick stopped their band. They wanted to focus on raising their family. But Terri still worked in music. She sang for commercials and did voice-overs for TV and radio.
The couple also performed shows with a cover band called The Retro Rockets. A cover band plays songs made famous by other artists.
Terri and Rick also recorded and toured. They made several albums of children's music. They performed as "Terri & Rick." This work led Rick Johnson into politics. In 1989, two songwriters, Fred Mollin and Stan Meissner, hired Terri. They wanted her to sing on a song called "Broken Dream." This song was used in a horror movie. The movie was called Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan.
The song was not released to the public for a long time. It only appeared in the movie. It was a song that a character in the film played on her guitar. Fans of the Friday the 13th movies liked the song a lot.
For many years, people thought a full version of the song did not exist. But in 2021, the song was included on the movie's soundtrack. This release showed a new part of the song. It had a chorus and lead guitar parts that fans had never heard before.
In 2011, Terri released another album. It was called Life Lines.
