Terrmel Sledge (born March 18, 1977) is an American former professional baseball player. He was an outfielder who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) and Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). After his playing career, he became a coach.

Early Life and College Baseball
Terrmel Sledge went to John F. Kennedy High School in California. He then played college baseball at Long Beach State. In 1997, he also played summer baseball for the Brewster Whitecaps.
Playing in the Major Leagues
Sledge started his professional baseball career in 2004 with the Montreal Expos. He had a great first year, hitting 15 home runs. He also had 62 runs batted in (RBIs).
On September 29, 2004, Sledge was the last player to make an out in the final home game for the Montreal Expos. A few days later, on October 3, 2004, he got the very last hit and RBI in Expos history.
The Expos team moved to Washington, D.C., and became the Washington Nationals. Sledge moved with them. He hit the first-ever home run for the new Washington Nationals team.
Later, Sledge was traded to the Texas Rangers. Then he was traded again to the San Diego Padres in 2006. He played for the Padres until 2007.
Playing in Japan
In 2007, Sledge got permission to sign with a team in Japan. He joined the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters in the Nippon Professional Baseball league.
In 2009, he signed a contract with the Yokohama BayStars for the 2010 season. He later returned to play for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters in 2012 before retiring.
Coaching Baseball
After he stopped playing in 2012, Sledge became a baseball coach. In 2015, he was an assistant hitting coach for the Eugene Emeralds. The next year, in 2016, he became the hitting coach for the Tulsa Drillers.
In 2018, the Chicago Cubs hired Sledge. He became their assistant hitting coach for the 2019 season. He stayed with the Cubs until the end of the 2020 season.
