After high school, Terry went to Baylor University. He played college basketball for the Baylor Bears. He was a Baylor Bear from 1978 to 1982.
College Achievements
Terry was a top player in college. He was chosen for the All-Southwest Conference First Team three times. This happened in 1980, 1981, and 1982. In 1980, he was named the Southwest Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year. This means he was the best player in his college conference. In 1982, he was also named an All-American Second Team player. This shows he was one of the best college players in the whole country.
