Tetsuya Okubo (大久保 哲哉, Ōkubo Tetsuya, born March 9, 1980) is a Japanese football player. He is known by his nickname 'Jumbo' because of his height. Tetsuya Okubo plays as a forward, which means he is usually at the front of the team, trying to score goals. He is especially good at scoring with his head.

Tetsuya Okubo's Football Journey
Tetsuya Okubo has had a long and exciting career in football. He is known for his fun personality, which made him popular with both fans and his teammates. He even hosted a radio show when he played for Avispa Fukuoka.
Early Career and First Clubs
Okubo started his professional career in 2003 with Yokohama FC. He played there for two years before moving to Sagawa Express Tokyo in 2005. At Sagawa Express Tokyo, he became a very strong goal scorer. In 2006, he scored 26 goals in 32 games, which is a fantastic achievement for a forward!
Playing in Japan's Top Leagues
After his success, Okubo joined Kashiwa Reysol in 2007, a team in Japan's top league, J1 League. He then moved to Avispa Fukuoka in 2008, where he played for three seasons. During his time there, he scored 39 goals in 125 games. In 2011, he played for Montedio Yamagata in the J1 League.
Return to Yokohama FC and Later Years
Tetsuya Okubo returned to Yokohama FC in 2012, where he continued to be a key player. He played many games and scored many goals for them over several years. In 2014, he also spent some time on loan at Tochigi SC.
Later in his career, in 2018, he played for Thespakusatsu Gunma. In 2019, Okubo joined Fifty Club. He has continued to play and score goals for Fifty Club, showing his lasting passion for the sport. By the start of 2021, he had played in 493 professional games and scored 160 goals in total.
