Thaworn Wiratchant (born on December 28, 1966) is a professional golfer from Thailand. He plays on the Asian Tour and holds the record for the most wins there, with 18 victories. He is known for his unique golf swing.

Thaworn Wiratchant's Golf Journey

Starting as a Pro Golfer

Thaworn Wiratchant became a professional golfer in 1987. He quickly became a top player in Asia. His biggest win happened in March 2005. He won the Enjoy Jakarta Standard Chartered Indonesia Open.

This tournament was special because it was part of both the Asian Tour and the European Tour. This meant Thaworn was only the second Thai golfer to win on the European Tour. He also earned the most money on the Asian Tour in 2005. He was the first player to win over half a million U.S. dollars in one season.

He almost set a new record for the lowest score on the European Tour. He finished with 255 strokes. However, this record wasn't official because of special rules that week. These rules allowed golfers to move their ball to a better spot on the grass.

Thaworn won the Asian Tour money list again in 2012. He had a great season with three wins. One of these was a playoff victory at the Hero Indian Open. He beat Richie Ramsay from Scotland in a sudden-death finish.

Playing as a Senior Golfer

In 2017, when Thaworn turned 50, he started playing on the European Senior Tour. He got to play because he had won a European Tour event before. In his second tournament, the WINSTONgolf Senior Open, he finished second.

Later that year, he played in the MCB Tour Championship. He won this tournament by a huge 8 strokes! This big win helped him finish 9th on the Senior Tour's money list for the year. He also won the Sharjah Senior Golf Masters in 2018.
