Sir Prancelot's Amazing Journey
Sir Prancelot wants to escape from his bank manager and his bossy wife, Lady Histeria. So, he decides to join the Crusades. But he is surprised when Lady Histeria plans to come along too! Soon, their whole household joins the trip. This includes their children, Sim and Sue, and their careful money manager, Master Girth. A funny minstrel, who also tells the story, and several helpers also come along. They all set sail for adventure.
On their journey, they often run into the sneaky Count Otto, also known as "The Blot." He is always trying to cause trouble for them. But Sir Prancelot is very clever and always invents something to help them escape. After many strange and exciting adventures, they finally reach the Holy Land. They discover they are 50 years too late for the Crusades!
After one last big fight with Count Otto, they head back to England. They travel in a rocket ship, which Sir Prancelot also invented!
How the Show Was Made
The Sir Prancelot cartoon was made by the same people who created Captain Pugwash. It had a similar drawing style and feel to that show.
Voices and Music
All the different voices for the characters were done by one person, Peter Hawkins. The Minstrel character, who tells the story, had a voice that sounded a lot like the famous actor Michael Caine. The music for the show was created by Alan Parker.
