The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show was an American animated TV series. It brought to life the beloved characters and stories from Charles M. Schulz's famous Peanuts comic strip. The show aired on the CBS network on Saturday mornings from 1983 to 1985.
This series was special because it was one of the few TV shows made by Bill Melendez's animation studio. His studio usually created Peanuts TV specials, not regular series.
The show aired again on The Disney Channel in 1993. It also played on YTV in Canada by 1996. In the UK, it was shown on Boomerang from 2002 to 2004.

Theme Song
The theme song for the first season was an instrumental piece. It was inspired by Vince Guaraldi's piano style. Desirée Goyette and Ed Bogas composed it. In 1984, lyrics were added to the song. It was released as "Let's Have a Party with Charlie Brown and Snoopy" on the Flashbeagle album. For the second season, a shorter version with these lyrics was used.
