The Chipmunks Go to the Movies is a fun music album from 1969. It features the famous singing group Alvin and the Chipmunks and their creator, David Seville. This album was released by Sunset Records.
This album was special because it was the last one released by Alvin, Simon, Theodore, and David Seville for a long time. It came out three years before Ross Bagdasarian, the voice and creator of the Chipmunks, passed away. After this album, there was an 11-year wait until the next Chipmunks album, Chipmunk Punk, was released. That album was created by Ross Bagdasarian's son, Ross Bagdasarian Jr..
In 2008, The Chipmunks Go to the Movies was released again on a compact disc by Capitol Records. This allowed a new generation to enjoy these classic songs.
