The Georgian House is a British children's TV series from 1976. It was made by HTV in Bristol and shown on ITV. This fantasy show tells a story over seven exciting episodes.
What the Story Is About
The series follows two students, Dan and Abbie. They arrive at a special house in Bristol called the Georgian House. This house has been rebuilt to look like it did in the 1700s. Dan and Abbie work there as tour guides, helping visitors learn about the past.
One day, they find an old African wood carving. This carving has a magical power! It sends Dan and Abbie back 200 years in time. They land in the 1700s, when the Leadbetter family owned the house.
In the past, people think Abbie is a visiting cousin. Dan, however, is seen as a young houseboy who gets picked on. While in the past, they meet a young enslaved boy named Ngo. He is owned by the Leadbetter family. Abbie really wants to help Ngo become free. But Dan's main goal is to get back to their own time.
They soon discover that Ngo is the only one who can help them return to the present. So, they all work together. Abbie and Dan manage to help Ngo gain his freedom. After that, they finally make it back to their own time.

How to Watch Today
Sadly, not all episodes of The Georgian House still exist. Only three episodes are kept in the HTV archive. These are episodes 1, 3, and 7. The other four episodes are believed to have been lost or erased over time.
Even though some episodes are missing, you can still watch the ones that remain. A company called Network DVD released the three existing episodes on a single DVD on May 24, 2010. To help people understand the full story, the DVD also included PDF files of the scripts for the lost episodes. This way, fans can still follow the whole adventure!
