The Golden Voyage of Sinbad is an exciting fantasy movie from 1974. It stars John Phillip Law as the famous sailor Sinbad. The movie is especially known for its amazing stop-motion effects created by Ray Harryhausen. Stop-motion is a special animation technique. It makes still objects look like they are moving. Harryhausen was a master at bringing mythical creatures to life this way.
This film is the second of three Sinbad movies that Harryhausen made. The other two are The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958) and Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger (1977). The Golden Voyage of Sinbad was so good that it won the very first Saturn Award for Best Fantasy Film.
