The Heroic Quest of the Valiant Prince Ivandoe is a fun Danish and British animated sitcom. It was created by Eva Lee Wallberg and Christian Bøving-Andersen for Cartoon Network. The show first aired in Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Norway, and Sweden on November 20, 2017.
This series is the second show made by Cartoon Network Studios Europe. It's a funny take on the old British novel "Ivanhoe" from 1820, written by Sir Walter Scott. On June 15, 2020, Cartoon Network announced that a longer Ivandoe series was ordered. This new version will have 20 episodes, each lasting 11 minutes.

The Story of Prince Ivandoe
The show follows the exciting journeys of Prince Ivandoe. He is a young prince from the forest, voiced by Rasmus Hardiker. His father, The Mighty Stag, sends him on an important mission. Ivandoe must find the magical Golden Feather of the scary Eagle King.
Ivandoe travels with his loyal squire, a small bird named Bert. Bert is also voiced by Rasmus Hardiker. Together, they explore new and mysterious parts of the forest. They meet many strange and funny creatures along their way.

Prince Ivandoe and Bert start their quest. They meet six sassy gnomes who clean a bridge. The gnomes won't let them cross because of Ivandoe's "stinky hooves." The gnomes turn into a big robot, and Ivandoe and Bert try to do the same. Bert accidentally makes a mess on the bridge. The gnomes get busy cleaning, and Ivandoe and Bert sneak across. Ivandoe pretends his "royal rage" made the gnomes "crumble."

Ivandoe and Bert are practicing a roar. They meet Prince Svan and his squire, Rodent. Svan thought Ivandoe's squeal was a damsel in distress. The two princes have a "Prince-Off." Svan wins most of the challenges. During the "Royal Roar," Svan makes a loud quack, and Ivandoe squeals again. A giant monster appears, making a similar squeal. Bert points to Svan, and the monster takes him away. Ivandoe claims his "kingly" roar did it, and Rodent celebrates being free.

Ivandoe and Bert find a small, sad prince in the forest. He says a witch cursed him. He used to be a big bullfrog and needs a kiss to change back. Ivandoe tries to make Bert kiss him, but Bert is grossed out by the frog's throat. Bert suggests the prince kiss his own reflection. Just as he's about to, Ivandoe kicks him into the water. They run away, leaving the annoyed prince behind.

Ivandoe and Bert save a pig named Jezebel from a wolf. Ivandoe likes her a lot. But Bert finds out she wants Ivandoe's special locket. Jezebel is working with the wolf, who is actually a raven named Poe. They try to escape but end up fighting Ivandoe and Bert. Ivandoe accidentally slaps Jezebel. She kicks him and takes his locket. When he starts crying, she gives it back. She smiles at him as she leaves. Ivandoe keeps her wolf potion as a souvenir.

Ivandoe and Bert are traveling through a dark forest. A pink poodle named Cupcake, who is a survival expert, captures and ties them up. Cupcake won't let them leave and is very worried about many things. Bert uses Cupcake's dog instincts to his advantage. He calls Cupcake a "good boy" to get him to untie them. Ivandoe is upset that he wasn't called a "good boy." As they escape, Cupcake sighs, "Not again," meaning others have tricked him this way before.

Where to Watch: Broadcast Information
The show started airing in January 2018 across Central and Eastern Europe. You could watch it on Cartoon Network in places like Germany, Italy, Portugal, and Poland. It also aired on Boing (Spain). In February 2018, it came to France and Sub-Saharan Africa. In the United Kingdom, new episodes first appeared on Cartoon Network's YouTube channel. It also aired in Latin America and Brazil starting July 5, 2018.
