Some of her new friends include the Glass Cat and Princess Vitrea. She also meets Ketzal, a feathered boa that can move and talk, and a blue parrot named Beak. The author, Gina Wickwar, added many characters to the story. She did this to be like L. Frank Baum's book, The Lost Princess of Oz, which also has many characters. One of the fun characters is Paddy, a leprechaun who paints rainbows. He is looking for his lost pot of gold.
Solving the Mystery
Emma Lou and her friends must face a tricky sorcerer named Zeebo. Luckily, they get help from some very famous Oz characters. These include the Wizard, the Tin Woodman, the Sawhorse, and Polychrome the fairy. Together, they work to solve a big mystery. They need to find the missing Prince of the Blue Mountain. He is the one Princess Vitrea loves.
