The Hills is a small town, called a village, located in Travis County, Texas, USA. In 2020, about 2,613 people lived there. It's actually the biggest village in all of Texas! The Hills is close to Austin, a much larger city.

The village of The Hills is about 16 miles (26 kilometers) west of downtown Austin.

Students from The Hills attend Lakeway Elementary School. They then go to Hudson Bend Middle School. Finally, they attend Lake Travis High School. These schools are located nearby.
Community Library
The Lake Travis Community Library (LTCL) is in Lakeway, serving The Hills. It first opened in Lake Travis High School in 1985.
In 2004, voters approved creating a special library district. This helped support the library. A kind citizen donated land for the library in 2011. The library moved to its current building in February 2013.
