The Isle of Illusion is an exciting fantasy book for young readers by Emily Rodda. It was published in 2002 by Scholastic. This book is the second part of the Deltora Quest 2 series. This series is also the second big adventure in the larger Deltora Quest series. It follows the story of Cavern of The Fear and comes before The Shadowlands.
What's the Story About?
The Isle of Illusion picks up right after the first book, Cavern of the Fear. Our heroes, Lief, Barda, and Jasmine, are still on their very important mission. They need to find and put back together the three pieces of a special item called the Pirran Pipe. This pipe is super old and has amazing powers.
The Quest for the Pipe
The Pirran Pipe was broken into three parts a long time ago. Each part is hidden in a different, dangerous place. Lief, Barda, and Jasmine have already found one piece. Now, they must find the middle piece. This part is held by a mysterious group known as the Auron tribe.
Journey to the Isle
To get the middle piece, the friends must travel to a strange and tricky place. This place is known as the Isle of Illusion. It's not just any island; it's a place where things are not always what they seem. The island is full of tricks and magic that can fool anyone. The heroes will need all their courage and smarts to tell what is real and what is just an illusion.
Facing New Dangers
On the Isle of Illusion, Lief, Barda, and Jasmine will face many new dangers. They will meet strange creatures and overcome difficult challenges. They must work together to get past the illusions and find the Auron tribe. Only then can they hope to get the next piece of the Pirran Pipe. Their journey is full of suspense and unexpected twists.
