The Lampies is a fun animated TV show from England. It was made for children and uses a cool mix of 2D and 3D animation. The show was created by David Bonner.
There are 50 episodes, and each one is about eleven minutes long. The BBC first asked for the show to be made. The music for the series was created by Mcasso Music. Later, in 2003, a private investor bought the rights to The Lampies.

What the Show is About
The story of The Lampies follows a group of tiny, sprite-like characters. They are like power engineers! Their main job is to look after and protect a very important lamppost called HO32. This lamppost is super important for the entire Lighting Network.
But there's a problem! Creatures called the Roons live in the sewers below. They really don't like light, so they are always trying to cause trouble for the Lighting Network. Sometimes, even sewer rats can be a bother to the Lampies.
Meet the Characters
The Lampies Crew
- Burnout - He's the relaxed leader of the Lampies. His job is to make sure the lamplights turn on and off at the right times.
- Matronly Spotlight - She's the one who checks everything to make sure it's working perfectly. She's very organized!
- Charge - He's a bit clumsy and loves to daydream. He's an assistant worker for the Lampies.
- Contact - She's very serious and smart. She's the computer operator for the Lampies.
- Livewire - She's a cute and energetic young girl. She looks after Dustywugg and is Contact's niece.
- Dustywugg - This furry, dog-like sprite is the Lampies' pet and mascot. He's always ready for an adventure!
- Captain Bright Light - He's the captain of the Lampies, but he can be a bit forgetful sometimes.
Other Characters
- Brigadier Big Beam - He's the main boss of the whole Lighting Network. He organizes everything.
- Phosphorous - She works for the Brigadier and helps him. Charge also has a crush on her!
- Captain Spentflint - He used to be the Lampies' captain but is now retired. Some say he was a tough boss!
- Spark - He's a "Bikey," which means he looks after a bike light. He's a friend to the Lampies.
- Neon - This character appeared in one episode and was part of a Christmas song. He's a musician!
- Haywire - He's Burnout's cousin and lives in another lamppost. He appeared in one episode.
