Samuel Lindley, born on July 14, 1973, is known by his stage name The Legendary Traxster. He is an American songwriter, rapper, and record producer. He is most famous for producing music for the hip hop artist Twista and the group Do or Die. Traxster owns his own company, Traxster Inc., and is a co-CEO of CWAL Records. He is also one half of the music duo House Lindley with his wife, Latia "Tia London" Lindley.

Music Career

The Legendary Traxster grew up in Chicago. He became well-known for producing music for other Chicago artists. These included Twista and the famous rap group Do or Die. He produced many albums for them. Their first album in 1996, Picture This, sold over 500,000 copies, earning a gold certification.

In 1997, Traxster produced all the songs on Twista's album, Adrenaline Rush. This album sold over a million copies, making it platinum. He has also produced music for many other big names. These include Kanye West, Ty Dolla Sign, Big Sean, and Ludacris. His songs have featured artists like Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, and R. Kelly.

Grammy Nomination

Traxster was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2006. This was for "Album of the Year." He helped write and produce the song "One and Only" on Mariah Carey's 2005 album, The Emancipation of Mimi.

Hit Songs and Collaborations

In 2009, Traxster worked with Twista again on the album Category F5. This album included the hit song "Wetter." "Wetter" also went gold and won two ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards. The duo also worked on "Make a Movie" with Chris Brown. This song was the first single from Twista's 2010 album, The Perfect Storm. Traxster produced eight songs on that album.

The next year, he produced "My Chick Bad" by Ludacris, featuring Nicki Minaj. This song was on Ludacris's album, Battle of the Sexes. The song reached number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was also nominated for a Grammy Award in 2011. In 2022, "My Chick Bad" was certified triple platinum in the US. This means it sold over three million copies.

Helping Young Musicians

Traxster also helps young people learn about music. In 2010, he led songwriting classes. He taught kids at Chalmers Elementary School in Chicago. Traxster and the students recorded their song at Chicago Recording Company studios. This song was then put on a special CD.

Record Label Deal

In January 2017, Traxster signed a deal with Priority Records. This record label was relaunched in 2013 by Capitol Records. Capitol Records is part of the Universal Music Group.

Personal Life

In 2015, Samuel Lindley married singer-songwriter Tia London. They have one child together, who was born in July 2015.
