The Lion Guard is an American animated television series. It was created by Ford Riley and is based on Disney's classic 1994 film The Lion King. The show follows the adventures of Kion, the second-born cub of Simba and Nala. Kion is destined to lead the Lion Guard, a team that protects the Pride Lands.

What is The Lion Guard?

The Lion Guard is a special team of animals. Their job is to protect the Pride Lands and defend the Circle of Life. Traditionally, the Lion Guard was made up of the strongest, bravest, fastest, and keenest-sighted lions. They also had the fiercest lion. However, Kion, the main character, changes this tradition.

Kion's Unique Team

Kion decides to choose his friends for the Lion Guard. These friends are not all lions. His team includes:

  • Bunga, a brave honey badger
  • Fuli, a fast cheetah
  • Beshte, a strong hippopotamus
  • Ono, a keen-sighted egret

This new team works together to keep the Pride Lands safe. They face many challenges and learn important lessons.

The Story of the Series

The series begins with Kion discovering he has a special power. This power is called the "Roar of the Elders." It is a very powerful roar that can shake the earth. With this power, he becomes the leader of the new Lion Guard.

Protecting the Pride Lands
