Beau Black (born August 5, 1983) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter from New York City, New York. He is well-known for creating music for many popular Disney TV shows. He was the main songwriter for Disney's The Lion Guard. He even won an Emmy Award for his songs!

Beau Black's Musical Journey

Beau Black is the son of Jay Black, who was the lead singer of the famous band Jay and the Americans. Beau released his first album of original music, called Meant to Be, in 2008.

He has worked on many exciting TV shows, especially for Disney. Some of these include Miles from Tomorrowland, Penn Zero: Part Time Hero, and Mickey and the Roadster Racers. He also helped create music for Firebuds, TrollsTopia, and Jake and the Neverland Pirates.

Beau Black was a key songwriter for The Lion Guard. This popular Disney show is based on The Lion King movies.

In 2017, he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award. This was for the song "Sisi Ni Sawa" from The Lion Guard. He wrote this song with Sarah Mirza, Ford Riley, and Kevin Hopps.

He won a second Daytime Emmy Award in 2020. This award was for "Outstanding Original Song in a Children's, Young Adult or Animated Program". The winning song was "As You Move Forward," also from The Lion Guard.
