Atticus Shaffer (born June 19, 1998) is an American actor. He is famous for playing Brick Heck on the TV show The Middle. This show was on from 2009 to 2018. He also used his voice for characters like Edgar in the movie Frankenweenie (2012). You might also know his voice as Ono from the Disney Junior series The Lion Guard (2016–2019). He even had a small part in the movie Hancock (2008).

Starring in The Middle
Atticus is best known for his role as Brick Heck in The Middle. He played this character for all nine seasons of the show. Brick is the youngest of three siblings in the Heck family. He is very smart and loves to read books. Brick is also fascinated by different fonts. His character is a bit shy and sometimes overlooked by his family.
Atticus once said in an interview that he is a lot like Brick. He also loves to read and gets excited about unusual things. Brick's way of repeating words at the end of sentences is based on the show's co-creator's son.

Atticus Shaffer was born in Santa Clarita, California. His parents are Ron and Debbie Shaffer. He was named after Atticus Finch, a character from the book To Kill a Mockingbird. He lives in Acton, California.
Living with Osteogenesis Imperfecta
Atticus has a condition called type four osteogenesis imperfecta. This means his bones are more fragile and can break easily. It also means he is shorter than average. He is 4 feet 8 inches (142 cm) tall.
His Faith and Hobbies
Atticus is a Christian. He has a daily Bible study with his mother. He enjoys listening to contemporary Christian rock music.
