The Medics are an awesome Australian rock band that started in Cairns, Queensland in 2007. In April 2010, they moved to Brisbane, a bigger city, to keep making their music.
The band was first formed by Emma Andrews, Jhindu Lawrie, Charles Thomas, and Kahl Wallis. Later, Andrew Thomson joined, making them a five-person band. Emma Andrews then left, and they went back to being four members. A cool fact is that Jhindu Lawrie's dad, Bunna Lawrie from the famous band Coloured Stone, helps guide them!
The Medics have won some cool awards and played at big events. They released their first collection of songs, called an extended play (EP), in 2008. They released another EP in 2010.
