The Story of Orin O'Brien
The film tells the story of Orin O'Brien. She is a very important double bassist. In 1966, she became the first female musician in the famous New York Philharmonic orchestra. She was hired by the legendary conductor Leonard Bernstein.
Orin O'Brien is now 87 years old and has recently retired. In the film, she looks back at her incredible career. She talks about how important it was to have loved ones and students who supported her. Her niece, Molly O’Brien, made this documentary. It shows how much Orin has inspired others. The film also shares Orin's belief that being happy often comes from supporting others.
