The Osmonds was a fun Saturday-morning cartoon show that aired on ABC-TV in 1972. It was made by Rankin/Bass Productions. The cartoon starred the famous Osmond Brothers!
In each episode, the Osmond family traveled to a different place around the world. Young Jimmy often caused funny problems that led the story. Like many shows about music groups, the Osmonds' songs were a big part of the cartoon. They even had a talking pet dog named Fuji! Marie Osmond wasn't in the show because she started her singing career a bit later, in 1973. A short version of their hit song "One Bad Apple" was used for the show's opening and closing music.
This cartoon was similar to The Jackson 5ive cartoon. Both shows used a special sound effect called a laugh track. But there was a cool difference: the real Osmond brothers actually did the voices for their cartoon characters!
