James Arthur Osmond (born April 16, 1963) is an American singer and businessman. He is famous for being the youngest member of the musical group The Osmonds. As a solo artist, Jimmy has earned six gold records, one platinum record, and two gold albums. This means his music sold a lot of copies!

Early Life and Family
Jimmy Osmond was born in Canoga Park, California, in the United States. He was the ninth and last child of Olive and George Osmond. His older siblings are Virl, Tom, Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny, and Marie. He is the only Osmond sibling not born in the family's hometown of Ogden, Utah. Because of his busy professional life, he was taught by tutors. His brother Merrill's wife, Mary Osmond, also helped educate him.
Music Career Highlights
Jimmy Osmond received his first gold record when he was just five years old. This was for a song he recorded in Japanese called "My Little Darling." He was the first Osmond family member to achieve this honor.
In 1972, his song "Long Haired Lover from Liverpool" became a huge hit. The Guinness Book of World Records named him the youngest performer to have a number one song on the UK Singles Chart. In Japan, people knew him as "Jimmy Boy."
In 2012, Jimmy Osmond sang lead vocals on The Osmonds' album I Can't Get There Without You. This was the first time he was the main singer on an album for the group. In live shows, Jimmy often sings along with his brother Merrill.
Acting and Business Ventures
In 1978, Jimmy Osmond starred in the movie The Great Brain. He also acted in other roles, including two episodes of the TV series Fame. He often performed on stage and television with his older brothers and sister.
Jimmy Osmond is the president of Osmond Entertainment. He has helped manage most of the Osmonds' business dealings. He has also produced many hours of TV shows for channels like ABC, PBS, the BBC, and the Disney Channel.

Jimmy Osmond has also performed in many musical theater shows. Like his brother Donny, he starred in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He also appeared in Boogie Nights in 2004.
In 2005, his show Jimmy Osmond's American Jukebox Show toured the UK. He also performed in several pantomimes, which are fun, musical plays often performed around Christmas. He played Buttons in Cinderella (2010-2011) and Wishee Washee in Aladdin (2011-2012). In 2017-2018, he played Abanzar in Aladdin.
Television Appearances
Jimmy Osmond has appeared on many TV shows in the UK. In 2005, he was on the reality show I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, finishing in fourth place. He also appeared on All Star Family Fortunes and a celebrity version of Come Dine with Me. In 2016, Jimmy was a finalist on the UK version of Celebrity Masterchef.
Other Projects and Awards
In 2014, Jimmy Osmond wrote a children's picture book called Awesome Possum Family Band. That same year, he took over running the Andy Williams Moon River Theatre in Branson, Missouri. He is now in charge of producing and booking shows there.
In 2015, Jimmy Osmond received an honorary doctorate degree from Iowa Wesleyan University. He was the first Osmond family member to get this special award.
Personal Life and Health
Jimmy Osmond married Michelle Larson in 1992. They have four children together.
In December 2018, after a performance, Jimmy was taken to the hospital. Doctors found that he had a stroke. He had a stroke before in 2004, which was caused by a heart issue that was later fixed. In April 2019, he spoke publicly about his health. He said he was doing well and was taking a break from performing. As of 2024, his nephew Nathan said that Jimmy is happily retired and enjoying time with his family.
