The Pagoda was a popular Chinese restaurant located in the Hollywood District of Portland, Oregon, in the United States. It was known for its unique building and tasty food.
What The Pagoda Looked Like
The Pagoda was a Chinese restaurant in the northeast part of Portland. It was housed in a special building. The outside of the building was very fancy. It had bright orange tiles and a unique design.
Inside, the restaurant had a cool feature. There was a koi pond with a small bridge. Guests could walk over this bridge as they entered.
History of The Pagoda
The Pagoda restaurant first opened its doors in 1940. A man named Louis Lee bought the business in 1946. He ran the restaurant for a very long time, until 2008.
In 2008, Sunny Chan took over the restaurant. However, The Pagoda closed later that year. The building where the restaurant was located changed. It became a branch of Key Bank.
Even though the restaurant closed, a part of it was saved. The restaurant's gold and red arch was moved. It was then put up at another restaurant called The Expatriate.
