About The Queen's Nose TV Show
The first three series of The Queen's Nose were very true to the original book. They were shown on CBBC between 1995 and 1998. The story followed the book exactly, with the main character getting ten wishes from rubbing the magic coin.
The first series, created by Steve Attridge, won an award in 1996 for best Children's Drama. The third series also won an award in 1999 for its amazing camera work.
In 2000, the BBC decided to make more episodes. These new series had different stories and didn't feature the main character, Harmony. Her sister, Melody, played by Heather-Jay Jones, stayed on for most of the new series. Some viewers missed Harmony and felt the show wasn't quite the same without her. The show was also shown in Germany, where it was called Die Magische Münze, which means "The Magic Coin."
