About the Episode
This episode tells the story of Bart Simpson. Bart wants to impress some older kids in town. These kids are Jimbo Jones, Kearney Zzyzwicz, and Dolph Starbeam.
Bart's Big Mistake
To try and impress the older kids, Bart does something very risky. He cuts the head off a statue in the center of Springfield. This statue is important to the town.
After Bart takes the head, he meets up with Jimbo, Kearney, and Dolph. They talk about the missing statue head. The older kids say they would hurt whoever took the head. They do not know that Bart is the one who did it.
Bart quickly realizes he made a huge mistake. He feels very bad about what he did.
Facing the Town
Bart decides to tell his family about his actions. His dad, Homer, goes with him to the town center. A large group of angry people from Springfield are gathered there. They are upset about the missing statue head.
Bart bravely tells the crowd that he was the one who took the head. He explains that he made a mistake. The townspeople see that Bart is truly sorry. They decide to forgive him for what he did.
