"The Call of the Simpsons" is the seventh episode from the first season of the popular TV show The Simpsons. It first aired on February 18, 1990. This episode was written by John Swartzwelder and directed by Wesley Archer. A famous actor, Albert Brooks, lent his voice to the character Cowboy Bob, making his first guest appearance on the show.
In this exciting episode, the Simpsons decide to go on a fun vacation in the wild. Homer buys a big RV for their trip. But things quickly go wrong when Homer accidentally drives the RV off a cliff! The family finds themselves stuck deep in the woods.
As Homer and Bart try to find their way back home, Homer gets covered in mud. A naturalist sees him and mistakenly thinks he is Bigfoot, a legendary ape-like creature. News about "Bigfoot" spreads fast, and soon, many Bigfoot hunters arrive in the woods, hoping to capture Homer.

Plot Summary: Lost in the Wild
The adventure begins when Homer sees a fancy RV. He decides to buy it for a family camping trip. The family, including Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie, sets off for a fun time in nature.
RV Disaster and Getting Lost
While driving, Homer takes a wrong turn. He accidentally drives the RV right off a cliff! Luckily, no one is seriously hurt, but the RV is completely destroyed. The Simpsons are now stranded in the middle of a huge forest. They have no way to get back home.
Homer and Bart decide to go look for help. They leave Marge, Lisa, and Maggie behind at the crash site. Marge tries to build a shelter from branches. Lisa and Maggie enjoy being in nature. Maggie even makes friends with some baby bears!
Homer Becomes Bigfoot
Meanwhile, Homer and Bart are having a tough time. Homer tries to cross a river on a log, but he falls in. He gets completely covered in mud and leaves. When he finally gets out, he looks like a hairy, muddy monster.
A naturalist, who studies nature, sees Homer. The naturalist thinks Homer is the real Bigfoot! He takes pictures of Homer. Soon, the news about Bigfoot spreads everywhere. People get very excited.
The Hunt for Bigfoot
News reporters and Bigfoot hunters rush to the forest. They all want to find and capture this mysterious creature. Homer, still covered in mud, is unaware of the chaos he has caused. He just wants to find his way back to his family.
Bart eventually finds his way back to Marge and the girls. They are worried about Homer. The family then tries to find Homer while avoiding the hunters.
Rescue and Return Home
Eventually, the hunters corner Homer. They try to capture him. But Marge and the kids arrive just in time. They explain that the "Bigfoot" is just Homer. The hunters are disappointed, but the family is finally reunited.
The Simpsons are rescued and return home. They have many stories to tell about their wild adventure. It was a trip they would never forget!
