Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, born on August 21, 1990, is a very important person in Oman. He is the Crown Prince of Oman, which means he is next in line to become the leader of the country. He is also the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth.

About Theyazin bin Haitham
His Family and Background
Theyazin is the oldest son of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, who is the current ruler of Oman. His mother is Sayyida Ahad bint Abdullah. He has one younger brother and two sisters.
His family has many important members. His uncle, Sayyid Asa'ad bin Tariq, helps with international relations. Another uncle, Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq, is in charge of defense. The previous Sultan, Qaboos bin Said, was his father's cousin.
His Education and Training
Theyazin studied political science at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. He also earned a master's degree in history from Oxford Brookes University. In July 2022, he completed his training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, a famous military school.
His Marriages
In January 2021, Theyazin became engaged to Sayyida Meyyan bint Shihab bin Tariq Al Said. They are cousins, as their fathers are brothers and their mothers are sisters. They were married on November 11, 2021, in the Al Alam Palace. They later divorced in early 2022.
In January 2025, it was announced that Theyazin was engaged again. He married Sayyida Alia bint Mohammed bin Hilal Al Busaidi on April 24, 2025, also in the Al Alam Palace.
His Important Roles
Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth
In August 2020, Theyazin was appointed as the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth. This new ministry was created by combining three older departments: the Ministry of Sports Affairs, the Ministry of Arts Affairs, and the National Youth Committee.
Before this, he worked for the foreign ministry starting in 2013. He also spent two years working as a diplomat at the Omani Embassy in London.
Crown Prince of Oman
On January 11, 2021, the Sultan made a new rule about who would become the next leader of Oman. This rule created the role of Crown Prince of Oman. As the oldest son of the Sultan, Theyazin is now the official heir, meaning he is next in line to lead the country.
