Thomas Vonn (born December 3, 1975) is an American former alpine ski racer. He was a member of the U.S. Ski Team.

Thomas Vonn was born in New York City. He is of German American heritage. He went to St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. He graduated from the university in 2001.
Ski Racing Career
Thomas Vonn was mainly a giant slalom racer. This is a type of alpine ski racing. Skiers race down a mountain following a course. The course has gates that they must pass through.
His best result in a big international race was at the 2002 Winter Olympics. He competed in the Super-G event. Super-G is another fast alpine skiing race. He finished in ninth place, which was a great achievement.
Coaching Role
After his own racing career, Thomas Vonn became a coach. He coached his former wife, Lindsey Vonn, who is also a famous ski racer. He was her coach when she won a gold medal. This happened at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. He also coached another skier named Dean Travers. He started coaching Dean in 2015.
Family Life
Thomas Vonn married fellow ski racer Lindsey Kildow in 2007. They got married in Deer Valley, Utah. Lindsey Vonn became a very successful ski racer. She won the World Cup overall championship multiple times. She also won an Olympic gold medal in 2010. Thomas and Lindsey later separated in 2011. Their divorce was finalized in 2013.
After his marriage to Lindsey Vonn, Thomas Vonn started a relationship with Shauna Kane. They had a son together. Their son, Henrik Vonn, was born in 2018.
