Reaching Stores
Three Wishes cereals first appeared in stores like Sprouts Farmers Market, Wegmans, and Whole Foods Market. They were also sold online through Amazon. By June 2020, about 600 stores were selling Three Wishes cereals.
Creative Promotions
During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was hard to offer free samples in stores. So, Ian and Margaret came up with a fun idea. They hosted a drive-through sampling event outside their home in Scarsdale, New York. People could drive by and get samples while staying safe.
When the cocoa flavor launched, Three Wishes released a special video. It featured actors from the 1971 movie Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. They tasted the cereal and shared their positive thoughts. In 2021, college athlete Buddy Boeheim also promoted Three Wishes. This was one of the first times a college athlete was featured in a traditional ad campaign. The company even released a special "Buddy Box" cereal as part of this campaign.
