Tiawah is a small community located in Rogers County, Oklahoma, in the United States. It is known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area identified by the U.S. Census Bureau for statistical purposes, but it's not officially a city or town with its own local government.
In 2020, about 235 people lived in Tiawah. Back in 2010, the population was 189, which was a good increase from 166 people in 2000. Tiawah was built along the St. Louis, Iron Mountain, & Southern Railway line. This railway connected Coffeyville, Kansas, to Fort Smith, Arkansas. The community had a post office from August 24, 1903, until December 31, 1938. It is believed that Tiawah got its name from Tiawah Mound in Georgia.
