Tierras Nuevas Saliente is a special area called a barrio in the town of Manatí, Puerto Rico. Think of a barrio like a neighborhood or a district within a larger town. In 2010, about 6,757 people lived here. It's a place with beautiful beaches and natural spots.
A Look at History
Puerto Rico became a territory of the United States after the Spanish–American War. This happened in 1898. Spain gave Puerto Rico to the United States as part of the Treaty of Paris of 1898.
In 1899, the United States counted everyone living in Puerto Rico. At that time, Tierras Nuevas Saliente had 776 people. Over the years, more and more people have moved to this area.
