Timothy Wayne Maypray III (born May 13, 1988 – died January 15, 2019) was an American football player. He was a wide receiver, which means he caught passes. Tim played professional football in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played for teams like the Montreal Alouettes and the Ottawa Redblacks. He was especially good at returning kicks, which means he would run the ball back after the other team kicked it. In his very first CFL game, he made an amazing 125-yard touchdown!

High School and College Years
Tim Maypray played high school football at Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal, Virginia. He was a top player in both football and basketball there.
After high school, Tim went to college at Virginia Military Institute (VMI). He was a very versatile player. He played many different positions, including wide receiver, running back, and quarterback. He also returned kicks, which is a special skill in football. During his four years at VMI, Tim scored 39 touchdowns! He was recognized as a great player, earning awards like the "Big South Freshman of the Year" in 2006.
Professional Career Highlights
Tim Maypray started his professional football career with the Montreal Alouettes in the Canadian Football League (CFL) during the 2010 season. He made a huge splash in his very first game! He returned a missed field goal 125 yards for a touchdown. This set a new team record for the Alouettes.
Later that season, in another game against the same team, the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Tim did it again! He returned another missed field goal, this time for 118 yards, scoring another touchdown. Because of these amazing plays, he was named the CFL's Special Teams Player of the Week.
What He Did Off-Season
When the CFL season was over, Tim Maypray didn't just relax. He went back to his old high school, Randolph-Macon Academy, and worked there.
