Time magazine is a very famous American news magazine. It started in New York City on March 3, 1923. For almost 100 years, it came out every week. Since March 2020, it has been published every other week. One of its co-founders, Henry Luce, was very important in running the magazine for many years.
Time magazine also has different versions for other parts of the world. There's a European edition, called Time Europe, which covers Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. It's published in London. There's also an Asian edition, Time Asia, based in Hong Kong. For Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands, there's a South Pacific edition based in Sydney.
Since 2018, Marc Benioff, who started the company Salesforce, has owned Time magazine. He bought it from another company called Meredith Corporation.

Who is Time's Person of the Year?

One of the most well-known things about Time magazine is its yearly "Person of the Year" special. This used to be called "Man of the Year." Each year, Time chooses a person or a group of people who have had the biggest influence on the news during the past 12 months.
The idea is to pick someone who, whether for good or bad reasons, has most changed the year's events. So, it's not always an award or an honor. For example, in the past, people like Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin were named "Man of the Year."
Time for Kids: A Magazine for Young Readers
Time for Kids is a special magazine made by Time just for children. It's mostly given out in classrooms at school. Time for Kids includes some national news, a "Cartoon of the Week," and fun articles about popular culture. Every year, there's a special issue about the environment that comes out near the end of the school year in the U.S. This magazine is usually not very long, often less than ten pages.
