The Tinguiririca River is an important river located in Chile. It flows through the Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins Region. This river begins high up in the Andes mountains. It forms where two smaller rivers, Las Damas and Del Azufre, join together.
From its start, the Tinguiririca River flows mostly northwest for about 56 kilometers. It passes near the city of San Fernando. Along this part of its journey, other smaller rivers like the Clarillo and Claro add their water to it. After this, the river turns southwest and then northwest again. Finally, it empties into Rapel Lake, which is a large artificial lake.
