Tlatoani facts for kids
Tlatoani (Classical Nahuatl: tlàtoāni plural tlàtòquê) is the Nahuatl word for the ruler of an altepetl, a pre-Hispanic state. The word means "speaker", but may be translated into English as "king". A cihuātlàtoāni is a female ruler.
